Wheelwash team celebrate Queen's Award for International Trade

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, given only to companies or individuals who are outstanding in their field. Wheelwash have been awarded this incredible accolade for International Trade, due to the significant growth and success in export trade over the last three years.

On Tuesday, 4th October an event was hosted at Crewe Hall where the Queen’s representative in Cheshire presented the award to the Managing Director of Wheelwash, Ian Jolly. The presentation was witnessed and celebrated by all staff from Wheelwash and key suppliers were also invited to share in the occasion.

The speech given by the Queen’s representative highlighted the incredible achievements of Wheelwash through continuous product innovation, consistently addressing the needs of many industries across the globe. Complex installations have included Tata Steel in India and Thyssenkrupp in Brazil to name a few. The more recent development of the Agriwash systems for bio-security has seen an order for 4 systems to export to Latvia.

These incredible achievements have been delivered by a small British engineering company based in Crewe with an experienced team of 19 people. It is understandable why the Queen’s representative noted Wheelwash as, “Very worthy winners of the Queen’s Award for International Trade”.

During the afternoon tea celebrations at Crewe Hall, Ian Jolly made a speech which extended a huge thank you to the team at Wheelwash for their hard work and un-wavering dedication. It was also highlighted how UKTI (Now called Department for International Trade), had been instrumental in opening doors overseas to aide the process for international trade. As the event drew to a close, Mr Jolly commented, “This award marks the success and innovation from such an outstanding team of people at Wheelwash. We are incredibly proud of this accolade and it will further cement our impeccable reputation in the UK and overseas”.
