Success for Wheelwash at Hillhead 2016

Despite the inclement June weather during Hillhead 2016, Wheelwash enjoyed a large number of visitors to our exhibition stand.  On show this year, was a Rhino Ecowash Extra Clear featuring a 6m long wash platform and associated, unique recycling tanks.

Effective water recycling is the key to providing good quality water to the wash platform and ensuring a comprehensive clean of vehicle tyres.  That’s why Wheelwash was exhibiting the most effective tank configuration from our range.  It starts with the new cylindrical primary tank that is supplied with an automatic sludge discharge valve connected to the outlet at its conical base.  26 years of experience has taught us that even the most challenging site material will struggle to stick to the cylindrical internal walls and with the option to discharge the silt at regular intervals, either after a set number of washes or at specified times of the day, the heaviest dirt particles that collect there from the wheel washing process can be easily discharged.

The recycled water from the primary tank is delivered into the Ecoclear lamella clarifying system. This compact tank is filled with honeycomb-shaped lamella blocks that attract the suspended solids in the water and remove them.  The dirt particles collect in the hopper and can be discharged manually or automatically.  This tank only takes up 6m2 but is as effective as 8 conventional settlement tanks in a row, which makes it the most effective water clarifying tank available for wheel washing applications. The clarified water flows through two pipes into a pump house / header tank, where clean water is always ready for use on demand.  The pump house contains the main wash pump which is inverter controlled for wash flexibility and for saving energy and water.  The control panel, which features the adjustable control for the automatic sludge discharge valve is also housed in the pump house.

We received a large number of interesting leads for new business with new and existing customers.  Our team on the stand comprised a mix of UK and internationally based colleagues who dealt with potential customers from as far afield as South Africa and New Zealand.  Wheelwash is looking forward to converting these exciting leads into projects in the coming weeks and months.  Hillhead is always a great exhibition for us and we will be returning to Buxton in 2 years’ time when it is next taking place.
